Altarea Energies Renouvelables

Your partner in developing and producing new energies Altarea Energies Renouvelables capitalises on the strengths and expertise of the Altarea Group, a leader in the low-carbon transformation of the regions, to develop and produce renewable energies by prioritising photovoltaics. Altarea’s commitment to photovoltaic energy reflects its desire to support local authorities, companies, the agricultural sector and landowners in their energy transition while maximising the value of their assets. France has the ambitious objective of increasing the share of renewable energies in its energy mix to 33% by 2030.

• Photovoltaic roofs: building roofs – portfolio assets, retail, housing, offices and logistics
• Photovoltaic shades: building roofs – portfolio assets, retail, offices and logistics
• Ground-based photovoltaic power plants: land – degraded sites, former quarries, former landfills, wasteland, abandoned land, industrial sites
• Agrivoltaics: crop farming, livestock farming, greenhouses
• Agricultural sheds: storage, livestock. Developed with Prejeance Industrial (add the logo)

Acquisition of Prejeance Industrial in 2024

Within Altarea Energies Renouvelables, the Prejeance Industrial team is dedicated to developing photovoltaic projects on small and medium-sized roofs, mainly agricultural sheds. These facilities represent genuine renewable energy solutions while offering farmers additional income and a new asset with no liability on the farmer’s part.

Alta Terra partnership

In 2024, Altarea and Terrena joined forces to create the Alta Terra initiative. These two major players in agriculture and the low-carbon transition of the regions share a common desire to support farmers, help them prepare for their future and increase the value of their agricultural land.

The two groups have decided to combine their strengths, values and skills to produce sustainable and competitive solar energy that will benefit the regions and farmers. As we approach the end of the Alta Terra partnership’s first year, more than thirty projects are already under way.

Altarea Energies Renouvelables provides support and handles 100% of the costs and all of the procedures required to bring the photovoltaic project to fruition.

1. Planning your project

Data collection, preliminary studies, recommendation of the optimal installation and preparatory work.

2. Coordination with regional authorities and administrative authorisations

APD* studies, building permit or DP** application, new electrical service installation request.

*Detailed Preliminary Draft **Works Declaration

3. Installation and commissioning

Supply, construction of the photovoltaic plant, connection and commissioning.

4. Operation, monitoring, maintenance or dismantling and recycling

Remote monitoring and preventive maintenance. Option to keep the plant and thus continue to operate it at the end of the contract or to dismantle the plant for recycling.

Altarea Energies Renouvelables has a clearly defined regional network of 150 Group developers throughout France and Italy to effectively support each photovoltaic project.
